Gers, a partner of economic development

The General Council is a partner of the Communities and structures which promote:

• setting up,
• establishment of companies,
• development of companies,
• jobs.

Setting up:

The General Council supports business property and the development of business zones (L'Isle-Jourdain, Samatan, Fleurance...).

Establishment and development of companies:

The Department Economic Cell can diagnose a company's needs and propose, or even implement, the existing tool palette to meet its needs:

• Participation in the "Initiative Artisanale Gersoise" ("Gers Craft Initiative") plat-form, to obtain loans.
• Carrying out of files soliciting material or intangible investment help: European Structural Funds, and help from the Region organisms.
• Examining top of balance sheet intervention files on behalf of "Midi-Pyrénées Création"
• Participation in the "Gers Invest" venture-capital Gers Company.

Concurrently, in a partnership with the Chambers of Commerce, the Department:

• helps modernize commercial and craft zones,
• invests in the Grouping and Modernization Plan of food retailers,
• participates in the training of apprentices.
