Gers, an attractive territory

Thanks to a protected environment and heritage, Gers is an attractive department for all those whose dream of working in a privileged context, away from overcrowded urban centres in which lack of security and violence go together with traffic jams and stress, and beneath skies milder than those in North France or Europe.

Media and Communication New Technologies offer particularly interesting possibilities because they ignore borders and because they allow the tiniest villages in Gers to communicate with the rest of the world. They are compatible with our Gers reality and they bring jobs.

In front of such a major challenge, the Gers General Council decided to equip its territory with high-speed infrastructures which help offer economic actors competitive approaches.

In order to encourage and guide the creation of companies, the European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI Gers Gascogne) was created in 1999: this organization is made up of a staff of consultants who are responsible for studying setting up projects, and has a training ground.
