The Baïse...

The Baïse, which has been navigable since the time of Henry IV, has found its second youth in the section that runs through the Gers. By following the twistings and turnings of the river along a stretch of almost 65 kilometres (which makes up the Gers Lot-et-Garonne section) starting at the Cistercian Abbey of Flaran,(Valence sur Baïse), you can discover the old route of the barges and sailing barges.
