Gers, a housing with a lot of character
Within a nature shaped by men since the Neolithic era but still largely
protected, Gers has a remarkable housing with a lot of character, the
reflection of its rural environment.
From a stone architecture comes up an architecture with ground and wood,
calling for ancestral techniques and materials (cob, raw ground, half-timbered
houses...) undoubtedly inherited from the Roman and then from the medieval
era.
These techniques can be found in the traditional housing which is open
to everybody. When winding your way along a village, a path, do not
be surprised if you fall under the spell of a Gascon farm! It will welcome
you up to your expectations, and besides you will be able to benefit
from all the services which our rural modernity offers you (sport facilities,
cultural activity, educational structures...).
